Futa tax rate annoys many Americans, as they get their paycheck and realize upwards of six percent of their money has gone to the government. These people don't realize, however, that not every job is run by corporate profits. Our public education, as well as some of our healthcare, our police officers, librarians, and politicians have no corporate superiors ready to give them their paychecks. So it is up to us to give a portion of our money to support the work that they do. After all, the government employees often do just as much work and put in just as many hours as we do. Their pay grade varies, just as ours does. So, my friends, the conclusion in my mind, at least, is that the six point two percent of our paychecks that contribute to the futa tax rate is moe than a valid pay for the services governmental employees provide us.
