As a person who has always enjoyed mathematics I have like to do my own taxes each year during the month of February once all my paperwork comes in. I look forward to the challenge each year and it actually excites me to sit down with all the forms and pencil and calculator and getting to work with numbers. I have gotten to understand a little better over the years but I still have issues with tax deductions for schedule c. Many friends have suggested that I use an online service to help me with my entire return as each section is broken down into understandable chunks and all the math is done for me. I am hesitant to start this as I know it will probably be easier than doing the long form myself. Once I start it will be difficult not to do it the next year. Plus I can save myself a few dollars by doing it myself.
